Baseball

The sweet crack of the bat

The clean cut of the grass

The smooth infield dirt

This is what we

play the game for

The love for your brothers

Lacing up cleats together

going to war every day

This is what we

play the game for

Picking up a down teammate

Sacrificing yourself to bunt

Moving a runner over

This is what we

play the game for

Talking trash in the dugout

Spitting seeds with your brothers

Finding pitchers tenancies

That is what we

play the game for

Bottom of the ninth

Championship game

Two outs

Bases loaded

That is what we

play the game for
