Baseball Inspiration

My inspiration comes from people I don't  know too well

Will I ever really meet them? It’s hard to tell

I've always loved baseball and everything about it

From fielding, pitching, and  catching balls to getting a big home run hit

I know it is naive of me to think I have a chance

To make it to the MLB league and play with people that advanced

Every time I watch a game I put myself in their shoes

There must be so much pressure on the players to make sure they do not  lose

They've always been an inspiration because they work hard and persevere

I sit and watch in awe of them as they show off their skills year by year

Baseball players . . . thanks. . . for being the inspiration I knew

I hope that maybe someday . . .  I can inspire you
