Basil plant
I left her well watered, in the sun for an hour.
she's now wilted and brown.
Im convinced she's indicative of my mental health.
I tore her apart stem and leaf.
I sliced her preciously.
She still made a lovely pesto.
Perhaps I too will produce something equally lovely.
