Basketball

Basketball

By: Derik Bruffett

The one thing I cannot live my life without,

Is rather small without a doubt.

It is in fact a bouncy ball,

Playing this game helps if you’re tall.

The one thing to help keep my sanity,

I play the game and stay away from profanity.

Without the game I’d have nothing to do,

I wouldn’t bring one ball I’d bring two.

My love for the game is incomparable,

Life without the game just isn’t bearable.

Together we had our ups and downs,

The game made me one of the best kids around.

Losing the game is my greatest fear,

Asleep at night, the crowd is all I hear.

The one thing I need above all,

Is but one simple basketball.
