Basketball (sonnet)

I love dribbling down the shiny court,

Shooting the ball into the small basket

Is quite fun but not when you miss it short,

My long shot is deadly like a Casket,

My bounce pass is perfect try stealing it,

I can not dunk but I can still rebound,

Give me the ball in the clutch and I’ll hit,

Try to block me, Swish, is the only sound,

I am a team player, call me assist

Because that's what I get when I chest pass,

I am a great defender you will miss,

My speed is the best, I’m extremely fast,

Triple double is what I get in games,

Basketball player is my middle name.
