Bat with a Broken Wing

A bat with a broken wing. He could not see, nor hardly move. Useless some say, As they pass him off. But Had they seen what I have They should never say again. As he stumbled through the church door, Sat in his seat, and slouched in sadness He rubbed his eyes. A tear. Lonely, helpless, afraid, he reached For the only thing in which he comforted: Faith. Would I be so strong? No man is useless. Nay, not even the bat with a broken wing. Never again shall he be forgotten Nor deserted.
