The Battle

This is not a fairy tale. But rather a gift from hell. The monsters under my bed, Are the demons in my head. Behind these blue eyes, Are a world of lies. This fire burns in my heart, It never turns to make a new start. I can’t take this pain. What did you gain? Did you feel powerful? Did you get a big mouth full? I wish they’d see the real you. Then they wouldn't sit on that pew. This god you praise. Has been locked up for days. Did it make you feel strong? Even though it was wrong. You heard my screams. Were they the ones from your dreams? Do they really see? No, they sit there and judge me. The waves of my devils, Drag me down to their levels. I’m trapped in this world with you. Just waiting for your que. I can’t run. My heart sounds like a drum. I’m terrified. And certainly horrified. This is my last test. My final quest. Will the truth fly? Or will it die?
