The Battle

Another trip to the emergency room

Another scar to add to the list

Words that can’t be spoken aloud

Without the tender kiss of a fist

Another night to stay awake

Another night to run and hide

Wishing for a better outlet

Than the blade at my bedside

Another internal battle is fought

Another pleading voice inside my head

But this time the battle is won

As I pick up a notebook and pen instead

I think that people are so quick to judge and label others. They don't care about the truth. They don't try to relate. Expressing anger is like a damned if I do, damned if I don't situation. If you take it out on others, somethings wrong with that person. If I take it out on myself, somethings wrong with me. So, I guess writing about it is somehow in someway better.
