The Battle

Your breathing is slowly stopping.

The movement in your chest is ceasing

I sit there and hold my hands together.

I cry in silence, with no tears or noise.

Your eyes are slowly closing.

The beating of your heart is stopping.

Your body barely moving, just the slow heavy breaths you take.

I sit there watching you fade into an unknown place.

I can't focus on anything else just your heart beat onthe monitor.

The beats slowing, dying.

Silence surrounds me before i hear the last breath and the lone note of death.

No Movements

         No Sound

                 No Pain

                       No Suffering

I see the white light, the darkness is slowly fading.

There i stand seeing the pearly white gates.

Everything is so pure.

My fight is over, my battle was won.

I made it.

No more suffering, no more pain.

The battle is done.
