A Battle Already Lost

The undertow pulls. Hard to fight, Harder to see. Invisible. Strong. Once caught, Impossible to fight Everything crashing above us. No light to see above. The sun? A blur. Nothing concrete. Nothing to hold. Nothing to stay safe. A ceaseless battle Against harmless, Simple, Water. A never ending battle Against deadly, Consuming, Life.
