Battle Dance

Everything is on the line, who will win? You move left, I move right, a risky dance Defenses are crossed, morals are blurred Step forward, step back, one move will change all I never wanted it to end this way But when you play with fire, you will be hurt A move is made, sure victory will come Hands grasping, you are just out of reach The tables are turned, yet all is equal You have luck on your side but I have skill Only silent stares and hollow thoughts You wanted it all, but I will not give in A move is made, but it’s too late to change A chord of fear resonates in both of us It ‘s ending fast but I don’t want to let go yet The fun is the game, my hope was in you But both are dwindling fast, a candle losing spark You are the music; I am the conductor in this dance Without one, the other is lost, a delicate balance This battle is futile, if one wins the other does too But tonight will be the night that will change
