Battle Scars

See my battle scars?

I'm a warrior,

fighting in a horrible war,

in my own head,

how can I fight,

when the enemy is me?

I wonder if death would free me,

from this agony,

I hide behind walls I built myself,

stuck in an asylum in my head,

all the rest of the world sees

a happy girl.

But all I see are battle scars.
