BattleBots

Rome knew the excitement of the masses

Blood pouring; thumbs down

Survival; thumbs up

The crowds loved the sights, sounds, and smells

Lions devouring quivering flesh

Chariot wheels seperating bodies and heads

Now, society has safe places instead

A little stress? Watch movies of kittens playing with string.

Offended? Make a new law against, or better yet, call the offender racist

No langer can I kill a worthy opponent in the arena

Or match flesh and brawn with those stronger or weaker...

No, today I can only watch robots on television in front of cheering children, try and kill each other.
