To Be

To Be

Is it better to play golf today

Spending the day on the course,

Or save it for another free day,

Which might not come forth.

To play, to golf

To have a relaxing day

To be outside

To feel the breeze through the air

To play, to golf

To make a waste of the day

Six hours of time

And twenty- five dollars

That could be saved

To play a round of golf

One has to put up with good and bad scores.

One might have the feeling of success,

And some have a feeling of failure.

There are the great shots on the green,

The shots that land in trouble,

And where the ball goes two feet

One does not want to miss the opportunity of playing,

And having a great round.

Not wanting to miss the good laughs, memories

And friendships that come down the way.

The decision to play golf

Is the choice to hit the ball straight

And spend the day enjoying the course

Instead of wasting the day away.

Arrived at the course, fore!

First tee box, and the air is quiet.

All cheers as the ball soars through the air.
