To Be Alive

You would break me

If you took it away

All away from me

You would kill something

In me

If you left me now

Now that I know

How it is

Like this

To feel so close to someone else

Undoing with one kiss

No longer alone

You can take everything

But don't take back

Those words you said

The words

Spinning in my head

Don't leave me

Now that I know

You can leave

But promise me

You'll take me

When you go

And tell me

The truth

Does it hurt you

To look inside

And see all the damage

Is it too much

Am I too much

Because you're enough

To undo

All the ugly

Before you

So if you must go

Take me

Because I never want to know

What it's like

To miss you

Lie here with me

Tell me

You need me

I've never been here before

You've unlocked a door

I never knew

Existed

Until you

And now

That I need you

You can't just leave me

You can't take it back

All those words

Every kiss

And touch

If I'm too much

Or not enough

You can't just leave

Now that I know

How it feels

To be alive
