Be Bold

Constantly trying to fit in and be accepted, different people come in and out of my life but they were skillfully selected Not by grace but by emotions and deceptions I believed I could lure them in with my innocence and sweet spirit that they would suddenly change in an instant They drug me along for the ride just so I could get the thrill and sensation of being free I fell deeply into their games while trying to play my own I yearn to please them and make them happy But in return their actions tore my heart into pieces Trying to breathe but their presence sucks the life out of me I stand in complete admiration of them even though they are out to kill me I suck in the sweet aroma of their poison just to get a taste of what they considered to be candy, Not knowing of the bitterness that awaits for me I made these people gods and they were just simple human beings just like me My heart churns with the mess that I allow them to create I just wanted to be accepted Feeling like a third wheel in this supposed to be friendship Choking on my spit as I cry out for attention They almost don’t see me like I’m just a false image pretending to be real My heart melts more as I conform to these people I feel neglected and betrayed I show them love just so they can break me down even more I try to run and find peace That pure love that I seek I now know is near But will it accept me? is what I fear I doubt my reasons for living and question myself for caring I ran out of options and dug myself a grave Six feet under I lay my head My heart still pounding but my eyes shut tightly .Fear of losing my self tingles though my body I cry out to God almighty “Save me father; do you hear my cries “ He showed me that he hears my cries and that there should be no other gods but him that He is the only true God that he created me out of love; Skillfully and wonderfully made He also showed me that I am his child made in his image uniquely to stand out and stand up for the gospel God showed me that he is my best friend and he will not make me feel less then what I am He knows me and loves me for me I took a second to praise his name, And I realized that I shouldn’t be like everyone else, I should be the young women that God has called me to be There is a greater purpose in my life I can’t fit in with everyone or do what everyone else does; I have to do as my father instructed me Be not of the world but be transformed in the spirit So I ask you, “who are you, and who do you need to be? “ Be bold, be different Take a stand when everyone else is sitting Speak loudly and rebel against society Agree with God’s word And don’t be afraid to look a little crazy … This is only your beginning So step on fear Deny those negative thoughts Please God only And remember you were made to stand out and not fit In , so what if you are a misfit You were never intended to be like this world But you are to take on the image of Jesus Christ You are the light and the salt of the earth, So if you don’t shine what good are you. . . Decide today how bold you want to be Because You have to be the change you want to see!
