To Be Called Mommy
Two lines were present, I'm overjoyed.
Maybe a girl, maybe a boy, it doesn't matter I'll just wait to see, because I long for the day to be called Mommy.
The pain is unreal, but the time is here as I push and push I begin to fear, how my life will change in minutes near, it doesn't matter, I'll just wait to see, because I long for the day to be called Mommy.
He's here! He's here! I can finally rest, the miracle of life at its best , for I have longed for the day to be called Mommy.
Nine months later I begin to worry, something isnt right, they said there's no hurry. No mama or dada or sounds of cooing, I question myself, Is it something I'm not doing? I sit back and wait patiently and pray, for I long for the day to be called Mommy.
He's two years old with no desire to play, I look him in his eyes he looks the other way. The doctor sits me down as I fear what he has to say, Your son has Autism and we will help you make a way. I cried in his arms and te walked away, for I longed for the day to be called Mommy.
Early intervention and therapy is the key. But we must find a cure or see what the cause must be. The numbers are increasing day by day and more and more Mothers are waiting to hear their children say, Mommy.
