Did you hear the news lately?
People of color not treated so greatly.
Shot after shot, cuff after cuff,
Isn't it about time we had enough?
Being the Change is tough, you say?
Social injustice, inequality and sterio typical views haunt us today.
From stop and frisks to choke holds, to cases like Furgeson and Martin,
Maybe its time for us to buckle up and get our minds in.
To be educated is vital
And in today's world it's unsightful.
Pants off your gluteus maximus, money that you work for invested in your appearance
Nothing matters except for stirring fear; beat into gangs that list their official meaning
GONE
Gives you nothing to believe in
Its rediculous,
It's about time we get sick of it.

Be the Change, be the Change,
Even if it's considered lame.
Learn to effectively execute
Don't live your life a mute 
Once you study and stay in your lane,
You can be the one that got away.
And if there's nothing you take away
Persevere your life another day.

There's this thing where once you're already down,
That's where you want to remain
Words filed with provocateur, derogatory and offense are common now,
Why be influenced by your surroundings that can stain?
And like a stain that remains through brutal infliction,
Harsh enough clorox can't get it out of existance.
Take advantage off your education!
Its as free as it gets.
That's where you make your worst decisions
Setting up your future for regrets.
Be the Change, it starts from now
In the end you can take a bow.
Give yourself something to hope for,
A bright future for kids and more.
Respect your selves and your potentialities
It's the view of the outer you that the world sees.
