To Be a Cloud
From here, the clouds do not seem so far away
The stuff that dreams are made of hovers here with me
next to me, above me
below me
From here, I can see everything
All the beauty and wonders of the world
Trees grow in their concrete plots
Carefully watered, carefully trimmed lawns grow with an unearthly verdancy
Somewhere, a rose grew out of a crack in the sidewalk
Somewhere a rose wilted
From here, more and more is becoming clear
The vibrancy of life throbs and ebbs
Cars race past, People walk past, the day is going by
Quickly, so quickly
So quickly they never look up to see
they never see me up here
Up here, where clouds are dreams
It's getting quiet, peaceful
There's a peace in the air
It's thick. I can feel it.
I can touch it!
From here, the wind whistles
Birds, confused by my grace, flutter by
I lose them in the clouds
I lost everything to the clouds
Tumbling, Turning, there is a harmony with the world
when you fall from it
From here, the ground looks so close, it's too close!
I think from the beginning
I wanted to be a cloud
