To Be Equal

Of all things, I want to be an equal

I want to be viewed as capable

Not just fertile

I want to be welcomed

Not oogled

I am woman

Not an item

I am intelligent

Not an idiot

I can do what a man does

And I can do it well

I am woman

Of all things, I want to be an equal
