To Be Happy

Looking in the mirror and being satisfied

Smiling at yourself, undoubtedly sincere

Listening to your favorite song

Dancing with your arms wide

Being in the moment with all of your friends

No pretending, simply content

Taking in the world and seeing what isn't seen

Loving your life, not wishing for an end

These goals we strive for will come in time

And we despise the others who were born in that life

But the road to that happiness comes with many perks

For we would not look in the mirror and be satisfied

Nor dance along to beats with arms wide

Be thankful for our world and appreciate our life

Because as our true self unravels over time

We truly begin to understand what it means to be happy
