To Be Heard

Without that FLASH in my face

Without the MAKE-UP stuck on my skin

That is when you SEE the Authentic ME

No DOUBLE TAP required to know I am LIKED

Just  the simple ME I am to be

No FILTERS to hide the little flaws

A girl hiding behind a SCREEN

A person like any other

There is more than my PICTURE

Or even my SCREEN NAME

I am just a PERSON

Wanting to be HEARD

Even if that means just through a quick SWIPE

Through a SOCIAL MEDIA WALL

I am a foster youth on my path to succeed. I am half white and half Mexican, which makes me Whitexican. I am the youngest of three. I love people and putting a smile on their face.
