To Be Heard

To Be Heard

Imagine never being heard

A prison

Your thoughts handcuffed

Never free

No outlet for your emotions

To be heard is freedom

It’s expression

It’s your way of communicating with the world

When you are in pain

You cry your words to the world

You let if be known

Let them know of your torment

When you are happy

You jump up

You jump down

You let them know of your joy

You laugh to the world and let it be heard

To be heard is a bird

It’s an eagle

Soaring through the sky

Free with no worries

Let yourself be heard

Express yourself with your words

Liberate yourself through your actions

And soar through life
