To Be Heard

Never thought it would come to this Having to fight for my own sanity I regret nothing and feel no pity "Get it how you live it?" That just leads to insanity. Never did I think, that I'd start so young Joining the army, and toteing a gun! Fighting for freedom, and liberty and piece Yet so low in our society that I can no longer sleep 3 years or 20, either way we serve More pay and more benefits, just a few things we deserve. All in all it was my choice, to fight for a better tomorrow I have no regrets and have no shame, because I joined the Army no sorrow For liberty and freedom, and the home of the brave I fight for my loved ones, and those who shout HOORAH Because at the end of the day, they know they are safe And my grand kids one day, can go out and play!
