To Be Honest

To be honest

Physically, I am not in any way lacking flaws.

I have hair in places I don't think it belongs,

I have fat stick out where I'd rather it not.

My hair is so damaged, pieces come out with every comb,

my skin is fair, but my scars are lighter,

Some self inflicted, some not.

To be honest

I am outspoken and opinionated.

Most of the time I think I'm right,

and I am.

I'm sharp as a tack, but some days I'm more of a marble

To be honest

I found myself in science and service and books,

and somedays I don't know who I am.

But I woke up like this,

and I will remain like this,

metaphorically flawless.
