To Be Inspired Is to Be Transformed

Poetry is a release of stress, an outlet of self expression. 

It gives a voice to the soft spoken, and teaches wise lessons.

Those who are lost and feel abandoned take shelter in its arms.

It has the ability to change perspectives, inspire, and even prevent harm.

It is a blank canvass with endless possibilities just waiting for its creation

It is jumping off the page and asking earnestly for experimentation.

I write for all of these reasons, I write to dream, cope, to feel happy and warm.

Unlike many people, poetry doesn't judge or discriminate against any swarm.

Poetry can create a wafting aroma spiraling up to the sky from a fire place in a remote cabin

Or paint a picture of a fading circle of light on a foggy night shining  from a lighthouse beacon.

I write because it's an opportunity to say more than you ever could when speaking in the norm.

Because I can portray the vivid images in my mind and express honestly the emotions in my heart and in turn, be transformed.
