To Be A Journalist

To write each night and day,
Sleep, eat, breathe the words.
And have someone read
Every syllable I could think to say.

I wouldn't fear the void
Of dreams unattained.
I wouldn't hear my voice
Pointing bitter, petty blame.

Years upon years,
Degree following degree,
Becoming qualified
To life out my dream.

But college isn't free,
And dreams are slightly out of reach,
It takes more than just talent,
If I want to create reality.
