To Be Mine
The first time I laid my eyes on you, I wanted you to be mine.
I tried to come up with these corny pick up lines, and think of poetic things to say to you for you to know that I thought you were divine.
I wanted to get to know you like I knew the back of my hand; it was the command of my heart to know your name, your biggest fears, and your goals.
By the way that you smiled, it melted my heart completely, but the cold winter weather froze it whole again, and I was able to gain the courage to say, "Hi."
Though I was quiet and shy, my vocals in my head seemed like I was screaming, and my palms started to get sweaty and calmy; you made me so anxious.
Your soft and mellow voice spoke to me, and from there on in, I felt like that's where my heart was meant to be.
I could only smile; both corners of my mouth ran from one ear to the other, I swear they were running a mile, around my face to try to sneak a peak at you.
If only you knew how badly I wanted to embrace you.
Crazy how I barely knew you, but by the way you gazed into my eyes, you hypnotize me, and you made me want you so badly, that I didn't want no one else, and I would try so damn hard to get you, no matter long it took.
With those beautiful brown eyes still looking into mines, I wanted to kiss you.
But I had only known you for barely an hour; I was going crazy in my mind, until my heart turned shades of grey and dark blue.
Within that hour, you drove me crazy, but I knew from the first time I laid my eyes on you, I wanted you to be mine.
