Be Mine

Be mine.

Let’s play video games till dawn,

placing bets on who will win what.

We can eat popcorn and ice cream

for breakfast

just because no one can tell us not to.

Be mine.

We can alternate who cooks.

Nights can be spent in the warmth of

each other’s arms

while stars glimmer outside the

window.

Be mine.

Mornings can be lazy and anime-filled.

We can stay in pajamas all day

On weekends,

Snacking on muddy buddies.

We can be grumpy together

on Mondays

and come home to each other’s

worn out faces,

collapsing on the couch with

comfort food.

Be mine.

We can grow old together,

raising minions,

teaching them manners,

watching them grow into

respectable adults.

Be mine.

When we’re frail, I’ll be by your side.

Until our final breath

I will be yours.

I will never stray.

My love for you will never falter.

Be my evil counterpart.

Be mine.
