To be myself

Who am I?

Sitting alone I wonder

Who am I going to become?

Is that what I truly want to be?

Tender hearted and carefree describe me

My spirit is wild and untamed

Sometimes I want to break free and run

Run from the past and going into the future

Hope is what drives me to work hard

It gives me the tenacity to accomplish my goals

I'm a dreamer who loves to dream big

What if the future me is the opposite?

Sometimes people change

Never looking back they become what they say they won't be

That's sad to see, I hope that won't be me

Thoughts like these run through my mind

Day and night and fearing about tomorrow

Well, I'd say no more doubting and just let it be

Wait and see what it will become and just focus on the hear and now

Be happy and live your life like you are going to die any second

Life is not meant to be feared but to be lived

Friends make me who I am now

They taught me that very lesson

I am truely thankful for them every single day

They accept me for who I am
