To Be Normal

When my aunt learned that I was lesbian, she was upset.

Not because of religious beliefs or other reasons, but because

when I 'have a kid,' I'd never have the feeling

that a 'normal' mother is supposed to have.

By that, she meant that I would never know what it was like to hold a

baby that my partner and I made together, that "my" baby would never really be

my baby.  To that I say...

1. Fuck you.

2. Having a child isn't about having sex.

3. I don't have to birth my own baby.

4. Not every family has to conform to the norm and do things like have children...

I don't even want kids.
