To be queen

The sparkling tiara

The flowing dress

The click of her heels

Her pearl teeth glisten

As she stands up tall

The voting is in

The drumline beats

As she’s pulled on stage

The ripping of envelopes

The suspense is raising

The name Aprodite is announced

As “ Homecoming Queen”

She says her thank you’s

And waves her hand

Back and fourth

Back and fourth

She adds that this is what it takes to be queen
