Be quiet and listen

Please, my son, be quiet and listen,

Look at your world through new vision.

Put your childish actions to rest

And change for the best.

For we can no longer take it,

Not even a little bit.

Disappointment is only the first layer

With a broken heart at the top.

All from a backstabbing betrayer,

Who's "sorries” can’t make it stop.

Don't you understand our pain and frustration

From your non-stop arrogance?

You may be "young and unaware of the situation,"

But you and I both know that you are smarter than this.

Don’t get mad and blame us for what you’ve done,

Because it always takes us back to square one.

We told you why and how to transition,

My child, please be quiet and listen.

It is time to shed your skin

And break the cycle you continue to put us in.
