To be a role model, that is awesome to me

Having someone that looks up to you and what to follow in your footsteps is a priceless feeling

Knowing that you are doing something to benefit others, is a well embraced

Giving advice that will encourage your brothers and sisters to strive

And having them not be another statistic

Yes you can and no one can stop you

So that seeing black doctors, lawyers and engineers is the social norm

Showing them their inner power

To help them be a better person and believe that anything is possible

Telling them that the burdens they carry are only temporary

Showing them that our people have come a very a long way to reach our dreams

Letting them know that the only real obstacle that keeps them from reaching their goals is themselves

To be a role model, that is awesome to me
