Be Still
Be still my heart,
for thou art heavy
and there remains
a distance I must carry you
The journey is long
and filled with uncertainty
Yet still I must persist
Your weight will grow
and you will break me
Over and Over
Yet still I must persist
By the end
we may both be so changed
as to never recognize one another again;
torn to pieces and remade
countless times
And yet
We must persist
