To Be a Tree

Sometimes I wish that I was a tree.

I'd just sit in the sun and sway in the breeze.

I would definitely live past a hundred years.

I wouldn't have to worry about having a career.

No worries of being late. Or getting hurt by the stapler.

No more scratching of pencils or crinkling of paper.

Paper....paper.

Wait! Did it just occur to me?

Trees are ground up and made into all kinds of things!

Posters and cardboard, not to mention toilet tissue,

That is a very big problem, and an extremely huge issue!

Scratch that thought, rather than be a tree,

I am extremely glad that I am a human being.
