Be true to you

As little girl I used to dream of a prince rescuing me from my torment, I was always the odd one of the entire class, No one understood me except the books I read, I felt like the princess trapped in a tower, I was alone for so long I didn't know how to react to kind people, I kept to myself to keep from getting hurt, As I grew I became more comfortable with who I was, I didn't need reassurance from a boy or from friends, Because of this I've gained many enemies and many admirers, I believe in me if no one else does, I love myself if no one else does, In this world full of hate and jealousy that's all youcan do, Is be true to you.
