Be You, Not Them

Think you possess beauty?

THINK AGAIN!

Look in the mirror,

You don’t look like the girl in Cosmopolitan!

Want to be like her,

Turn on the news,

Learn to be that girl,

Whose talent is walking in high heeled shoes. . .

Just eat like a rabbit,

Talk like a floozy,

Dress like a tramp,

Drink till you’re falling down woozy!

Layer on the makeup,

Get that beach blonde hair,

Head to the salon,

Maybe some Botox right there. . .

STOP!

THIS IS WACK!!

What are we thinking?

Are we all on CRACK?

Real beauty is knowledge,

And this view needs to change,

Confidence should prevail,

Does that seem so strange?

Creativity should shine,

Brighter than the sun.

Individuality is freeing,

Being like them is not fun.

So, push those glasses up

Be proud to be a nerd!

That’s what ‘cool’ is,

Haven’t you heard?
