Be yourself

Letting it be known

But scared to let it be shown 

Wondering if you should tell

Or just be told

Being scared of how they’ll treat you

Or worry if they’ll even greet you

To scared to be yourself 

All because of someone else 

Being called abnormal because of your feelings 

Little do they know, it doesn’t help toward the healing

The fear behind losing someone you love

Just because of who you love.

The feelings you can no longer hide

The ones you can no longer keep inside

And soon it became time

To let my feelings shine

Going down on my knees to pray

To finally telling my parents that I’m gay

Not caring what they say

Just being proud that I faved my fear today.
