Be yourself be an Immigrant

Be yourself be an Immigrant
Just because  I’m Dominican
Doesn’t means I don’t know how to speak English
Doesn’t mean I don’t understand what they are  saying about me,
And it doesn’t mean I don’t like the American  music or culture.

Just because i'm a girl
Doesn’t mean I don’t play sport and that I don’t know what’s football
Doesn’t mean all I talk is about boys
And it doesn’t mean that I don’t like video games .

Just because I like  to play sports
Doesn’t mean am trying to at like a boy
I just like to have fun.
I still do shopping and wear girls

Why do people say that all  Dominican eat is mangu?
Why do people say that Latinos came to America to steal their job?

Just because
Am not like everyone else
Doesn’t mean i'm a loser
I’m unique and this is who I’m
If you don’t like it walk away .

Just be yourself
And just because your from a different country
Doesn’t mean you a horrible person
You just have to walk way from  all the rumors and bad thing people say and they
go away
Be who u are an immigrant and be proud of it .

I’m Dominican and I do not consider myself an American
I’m an immigrant who needs to have the same respect as everyone who was born here.
We are who we are and we can’t change because orders don’t like it
Be yourself be an immigrant
