Just because I’m Dominican
Doesn’t means I don’t know how to speak English
Doesnt mean I don’t understand what they are saying about me
And it doesn’t mean I don’t like the arecan culture or music
Just because am girl
Doesn’t mean I don’t play sport and that I don’t know what’s football
Doesnt mean all I talk is about boys
andit doesn’t mean that I don’t like video games
Just because I like to play sports
Doesn’t mean am trying to at like a boy
I just like to have fun,
I still do shopping and wear girls
Why do people say all Dominicans eat is mangu?
Why do people say Latinos came to steal Americans job?
Just because
Am not like everyone else
Doesnt mean am a loser
Im unique and that’s who I’m
If you don’t like it walk away
Just be yourself
And just because your from a different country
Doenst mean your a horrible person
You just have to walk away from all the rumors and bad things people say
Be who you are an imigrant and be proud of it.
I’m Dominican and I do not consider myself an American
I’m an immigrant who needs to have the same respect as everyone who was born here.
We are who we are and we can’t change because orders don’t like it
