The Beach

From the cool waves licking calmly at my heels And the heating flames refusing to yield Comes a laughter so very pretty That makes my brain feel so extremely witty When I turn, what do I spy? But an old friend waving goodbye. I prance over graceful as a deer, and as I run I hear, "That's alright, it's okay. We'll come back another day." while I know I should be sad, maybe angry, maybe mad, I smile and laugh along to the summer's new hit song. Because I know I'll be back some day, and it'll be okay. So I crawl into bed at night and pull the covers up real tight I think about the Ocean and how it sets my heart in motion.
