Beachy
Dear Grace,
I remember sitting
under the cotton blue sky
on the tinted pink sand
blues role in with the tide
and we laughed.
I looked over at you
Everything was calm
hair blew with the palm trees
Dear smile and all
It was nice and calm.
We were nice and calm.
But the waves picked up
blues turned too dark to see
And I felt like the beach
was entirely empty
But you sat down next to me
and the sky was back
Never got lost
We had our tracks
I was nice and calm.
The tides were nice and calm.
Everything is like that
knowing that I can run
on to that tinted pink sand
and be with you and my friends.
It was nice and calm.
We were nice and calm.
The sky is still that beautiful color. It'll stay that color.
