Beacon
We know of a place where
there’s an absence of light.
Alluring so many.
No virtuous beacon
to guide bewildered ships,
from certain destruction.
The cries for aid exist
but they go unheard of.
Consumed by their own thoughts,
pain is an open door
to releasing sorrow.
Deeper exploration
leads to chatter filled minds
and then motionless lips,
ears can be supporting,
prevention of loses.
From this place of absence,
light can be found again.
