Beast

Everyone journeys long to find The thing that heals both soul & mind The healer of all things Keeping hearts from falling Into the bottomless pits of hell No one man can ever tell No two men can explain It’s warmth & pain the exact same Now what exactly is this healer? What’s been named this fate dealer? We all have seen or heard it before It hides behind that secret door Deep inside that dormant part Of our ever pumping heart It sits and waits, it bides it’s time It walks & paces till it’s time to shine You see the way it takes hold of him How he thirsts to fulfill your every whim You want to give him your heart too But your brain says, “This just won’t do” It orders the door to stay shut It says it must follow it's gut The healer bangs and releases roars It must get through that secret door It yells & whine’s its partners near, That it is not something you should fear At last it breaks through and is released You finally see it’s no fearsome beast It’s a little thing many call love It’s what you’ve asked of the Gods above As your heart and feelings ascend You then realize that this is not the end…
