THE BEAST
The Beast: by Paul Gray

What beast is this who singed my heart
And brought to me this sorrow
There on my mind where doubt persists
And questions my tomorrow
I long the day when freedom reins
Where consciousness is bliss
And clear as rain, my future bright
With emptiness unmissed
