The Beast, Him & Love

How can you fix something broken beyond repair
Try and try but the scars are still there
He's being punished for the beast's actions
While fighting a battle that's unwinnable

Still feel the pain of the past
Thinking he'll be just like the beast
and I'll be the one to blame
That is why my fear will increase

Met a guy, he was nice and kind
So was the beast
My friends say he might be different
Just wait and see

We hit it off
Told him my past and my fear
Fear of the beast
Told me don't worry I am here

When it got serious I push back
and his eyes filled with pain
Thought he would leave for sure
Instead he didn't complain

No matter how long it takes
I will make you happy
That's what he said
Show you how love should be

Time went on
and I finally see
That this is love
That it was meant to be

He told me he was scared
That it wouldn't happen
That I would leave
and he'll be broken

Now I'm walking
as the flowers fall down
Thinking of the past
but no reason to frown

When I reach him I think
This is a dream come true
His smile grows
as I tell him I do
