Beat of my Pulse

One day without headphones in my ears,

One day without a song sung out of my own mouth,

One day without piano, guitar, or flute,

One day without a beat pumping through my veins.

Music is not background

It’s not noise.

It is fuel for my soul.

It purifies my life.

Every skillfully crafted line

Every carefully picked rhyme.

The emotion, feeling, peace, understanding, anger, frustration, encouragement, tips, friendships, fights, highs, lows,

Lows and highs;

A single day without music

Would be the day that I would die.

I would lose a friend that is ALWAYS there.

Willing to say what you need to hear;

Over and

over and

over and

over again.

It offers a quiet brain something to think about

And a loud brain a place to just be quiet and listen

Music is powerful!

Impressive, talent, special, unique

When my pulse is in sync with music

I can do anything.
