Beaten

When ever I complained
My momma said
You should be thankful
You were never beaten
Like your brothers and sisters
Imagine if only I was beaten
I could complain
and be heard
feel the love
importance
I too
was beaten
So I was always small
Never very tall
Keep to myself
Everybody wonders
Because
As it is written
Let it be known
I have never been beaten
Ever
