Beaten And Beautiful

We go to meet in the middle of the night,

We find each other under by a tree dazzled with sun,

They tell me quotes about our fight,

They pour their heart "You are the one",

Their words make me feel the blame,

Their love leaves me with no pain,

I take them back through the shame.

I pray our love will forever maintain.

Another year of a love gone ill,

Another year and we meet upon the hill,

They strike me nearly enough to kill,

They kneel to propose and time stands still,

Yet,

And,

We find ourselves together, forever still.
